Worldwide, the focus on STEM education has never been greater than it is today.
In Vietnam, as everywhere else, the career prospects for students in STEM/STEAM fields will far surpass those in other disciplines.
It's time to take that step, adopt the STEAM mindset and enable your students with the essential 21st century skills.
STEAM Integration is a spectrum and each school or K-12 institution can be at a different stage.
While some schools already have very clear goals and long-term plans, others need guidance into exploring the different options and designing an integrated program focused on students’ learning outcomes.
Since 2015, Fablab / Makerspace Danang has been delivering STEAM education to K-12 students and developed a comprehensive STEAM curriculum.
We have more than 200 project based Lesson Plans and hands-on activities adapted to each grade.
Our curriculum matches both International standards (NGSS) and Vietnamese requirements (MOET).
We are an international team of Pedagogy Specialists: STEAM Educators, English Teachers, Soft Skills Trainers, Curriculum Developers
Working closely with Technical Experts: Mechanical Engineers, Biomedical Engineers
And always in sync with the Industry: International Schools and Universities, Tech Companies
In the last two days, July 4 and 5, Fablab Da Nang was pleased to be invited to join the 2019 Summer School program with EMASI International Bilingual School at Nam Long campus, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. HCM. This is a 6-week summer course for preschool, elementary and high school students with comprehensive content to guide them to become a young generation of responsible, comprehensive knowledge and skills, and especially with the willingness of integration of global citizens.
Fablab Da Nang had cooperated and supported EMASI School to develop and implement 5 STEAM topics including: 3D printing technology, making a dice, building a levee, how to make ice cream and Makey Makey game. Fablab had the opportunity to interact with more than 200 students of all ages, giving them the basic but no less important knowledge in the first step of forming children's creative and inquisitive thinking. In particular, not only transmitted through theory, they also practiced directly to understand the lecture and participated enthusiastically in our interactive games and teamwork.
Although participating in only two days , we were extremely impressed with the students of EMASI. They always listen attentively, constantly ask tough questions and give answers that show a fairly good understanding for their age, along with great creativity in the making.
EMASI is a group of international bilingual schools with American standard facilities that delivers Vietnamese national curriculum adopting modern teaching methods from developed countries. Different from the conventional didactic approach, EMASI pedagogy has been completely revamped, in other words, it is student-centered, it has a thematic and topic approach, it includes project-based learning, team work as well as autonomous learning, and so on. Most of all, it equips our students with the ability to become self-motivated learners.
Both Vietnamese and English are used in the schools. This regulation expresses our clear goal that students will master the Vietnamese language, and become as proficient in English as native speakers. Apart from the academic expectation, the schools strongly focus on art and physical education because health is the basic foundation of life, and art helps develop aesthetic taste, promote creativity and enrich life.
The schools are committed to providing the highest quality education to Vietnamese families and to promoting the above-said attributes and attitudes amongst our students, so that they are well prepared for the globalization trend without any barriers of language, culture, knowledge or skills.
