Over the past 4 years, Fablab/Maker Innovation Space Danang has developed an extensive STEAM curriculum for K-12 students, matching both International (NGSS) and Vietnamese (MOET) Education standards.
According to your students' grade and own curriculum, you can choose among more than 200 project-based lesson plans.
Each lesson plan is carefully designed, age appropriate and offers different levels of difficulty, so that each learner can evolve at its own pace.
The students are guided through their project by an English speaking teacher and a Vietnamese teaching assistant.

Maker Innovation Space (MIS) Tour will provide K-12 students a chance to visit MIS to
> explore how interesting things at MIS work to help make some simple cool things in our life, and
> fully enjoy Make-It-Yourself session with mini STEAM games.

OPTION 1: INTENSIVE OBSERVATION ⏱: 1,5 HOUR
PART I: SEE IT! ⏱: 65'
- Warm up
- Video of introduction (English subtitle)
- Passport making
- Maker Space Tour: Explore the modern machines/tools and the newest technology used at MIS, observe in real-time how machine works to make some simple and interesting things in our life.
PART II: MAKE IT! ⏱: 25’
- Imagine and Make it: Students are divided into 3 – 4 groups to make simple DIY products.
- Wrap-up: Quizzes with prizes/gifts
OPTION 1: INTENSIVE MAKING ⏱: 1,5 HOUR

Warm up

- Maker Space Tour: General introduction to interesting machines/tools and newest technology used at Maker Space.
PART II: MAKE IT! ⏱: 50’
- Imagine and Make it: Students are divided
into 3 – 4 groups and enjoy hands-on STEAM experience using some of simple machines for an exciting team-work mini games (such as Mini car racing, Mini Robot, Mini Toys, Handmade Greeting Cards with led lighting, etc.)
- Wrap-up: Quizzes with prizes/gifts
2-hour STEAM Hands-on Experience will provide K-12 students two-hour integrated STEAM - English study on a specific topic of Science / Technology / Engineering / Art / Math which emphasizes the link between THEORY (popular topics students have been educated at their schools) and PRACTICEs through two main activities: LEARN and MAKE.
NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 12 – 16 students/class
AGES: GROUP 1: From 7 – 12 years old
GROUP 2: From 13 – 16 years old
TOPICS: A selected topic from offered list of various STEAM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)
LANGUAGE: Instruction will be in both English & Vietnamese
